Why Do People Buy?

What is it that takes somebody from being a prospect to being a customer?

Why do people buy?

Your aim is to make money, online / offline, it doesn't matter, you want to make money and enjoy a better quality of life that the money can fund. But all too often people in business are busy focussing on what they can offer rather than what your potential customer wants.

Time and again we come across the mindset of "I've got a great idea, I'll create this product and the customers will come"....only they don't...so what is it that gets people to buy?

To People Who Want To Make a Fortune Online, But Can't Get Started

So you want to make a fortune online, but don’t know where to start?

 

Join the club! Most of us with this goal and desire all started at the same place – the beginning…

 

…and how do you move off the beginning and up that ladder to online success? You could try working it all out yourself. That is a tried and tested method - it works and you’d eventually get there…maybe, though it would undoubtedly take an awfully long time and many mistakes and wrong directions later.

What’s a better idea is to find someone who is already experiencing the success you seek and model yourself on them. It’s a sure fire fast-track to success.

 

Modelling yourself on someone else means identifying and taking on the values, beliefs, decision making processes, strategies, language, external behaviours and physiology of that person.

Dib...dib...dib...just how prepared are you?

I was reading an article from Tim Lowe - one of my mentors, last night and there was a section about being prepared, just like a good Boy Scout ought. It was a timely reminder of something I apply in so many facets of life from going on holiday to putting on the BBQ.

But to a certain degree I'd neglected it in regard to building a business to generate wealth on the web.

How daft is that?!

Or as many find themselves…stuck in a comfortable rut, perhaps the question should be “What are you not willing to trade for it?”

 

As we approach the end of another year that has sped by in a blink I’ve taken the opportunity to reflect back on why I am where I am and whether this place is where I wanted to be – particularly with one of those decade tipping milestone birthdays approaching this year.

 

My answer to that is a resounding No!!

I posted a couple of days ago about sitting down to prepare a mindmap about what I needed to do in order to get my first front-end & back-end product combo ready for launch.

Then I said it'd be translated into a colour activity bar schedule/plan. Well progress is coming along on that and as promised it will be finished within the week and I'll post it here.

But some great side effects of having been through the mind map stage already is the rapid realisation of all the activities required. But just as importantly, as with a recipe for a Christmas dinner, you need to work out durations for the ingredients to prepare and cook - get some stuff started earlier than others so it all comes together around the same time in readiness to serve up hot.

Hi and welcome to today’s quote!

I woke early this morning to find that my brain was already well alert and busy running through all the things that need to get done to make generating wealth online a reality. On the one hand it would be easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of stuff to address, but on the other hand it was kinda cool to almost lay back detached from myself and watch the brain do it’s thing!!!

…and so scanning through the quote bank for material this quote leaped off the page at me and demanded inclusion today.

You see I’m a world’s expert at vision, but boy ‘o boy I have room to improve on execution. I can see exactly how my business is going to run, the sort of products that will be created, the various sites that will promote them, how the clients will pass through the sales funnel from front-end to back-end – the whole nine yards. But that’s all “down the path” stuff. The vision is a bit hazy on all the stuff that needs doing right now to enable those other things to happen.

I know the answer of course….I’ve been here before and it’s worked for me then. It’s time to take some serious action and set the finite goals for the launch of particular information products.

Can Blogging Really Generate Me True Wealth?

I am sure there will be many of doomsayers out in the web who will say they’ve tried it and never made anything. It’s typical of any human endeavour we may care to think of.

 

But ultimately the answer is a resounding yes! I certainly believe it can and will...

 

There are of course no end of bloggers out there who do very much generate wealth from their blogging – either directly through advertising and promoting products directly in their blogs, or through offering great readership content and free reports and e-books, building a database of eager readers to then later promote products to.

 

If we want to join the ranks of those successful bloggers blogging to the bank, we need great examples to learn from and model ourselves on.

 

In the slides to Alex Jeffreys 4th coaching module on Social Media Money, Gyutae Park’s Winning The Web blog was recommended among others.

Well it hasn't quite been a daily quote over the last 3 days which I've missed over the Christmas period – my humble apologies…I'll have future holiday posts queued in advance in future!

 

Today’s quote caught my attention as I buzzed around quite a few of the Fortunate 500 sites over the last day or so. I have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of giving and support for one another in our new Alex Jeffreys world.

 

I won’t go into specific examples here as there are too many to mention and I have no wish to offend any I would omit! But I have read posts from AJ students struggling to create a blog or get their Profit Pulling Platforms uploaded to the web or countless other technical dilemmas and seen excellent responses to help sort out these problems.

 

I’ve seen others where students are just getting overwhelmed by the amount of information we are digesting in such a short period, or others where the results are not coming as fast as expected or needed. Again their posts are full of supporting comments and kind words of encouragement and offers of support.

 

The Fortunate 500 students….you are truly fabulous and I am very very excited to be part of our AJ world.
